Understanding Oxidative Stress
The Key To
Health & Wellness Mastery
Let me begin by asking a few questions because your answers to these questions will determine what you do about your present and future wellness.
Outcomes of the Ageing Process...
Do you have a tendency to look at older people and accept that long-term chronic degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, osteoporosis, coronary disease, strokes, diabetes, obesity and cancer as inevitable outcomes of the aging process?
Do you have some concerns about what the aging process might look for you?
If you could maintain optimal wellness throughout your senior years, would you be willing to make necessary life changes to ensure your future wellness?
Understanding Oxidative Stress
You see, a fully engaged physical, spiritual, material and emotional life does not necessarily have to slip from your grasp as you begin winding down the working phase of your life.
Indeed, despite your age right now and whatever your present state of wellness is, as soon as you begin to understand the oxidative stress wars that are raging within your body and take corrective action, everyday from here on in can number among the best days you’ve ever had.
The true state of health of a person cannot be determined by symptoms alone as symptoms are already signs that imbalances in the body and oxidative stress has already travelled to the point of danger.
A lack of symptoms is NO guarantee...
In many cases symptoms are identical in different diseases and disorders, but a lack of symptoms does not guarantee a clean bill of health.
In their analysis of symptoms, health care practitioners might determine them to indicate
- The body’s reactions to nutrient deficiencies
- Reactions to invading germs and viruses
- Disruption to the body’s delicate pH balance
- Inflammatory problems
- Protein and/or iron deficiencies
- Bowel and/or heavy metal toxicity
- Adrenal stress and free radical activity
- Lymphatic drainage problems
- Vitamin and mineral deficiencies
- wheat and other allergies
...and once diagnosed give you appropriate instructions on how to change what you are doing so that the underlying problem is corrected at its source.
Modern day Medicine
Alternatively, they may just determine that you have a symptom of some kind and prescribe modern-day medicines that will suppress the symptom.
But will the underlying causes be addressed in this manner?
Will masking, suppressing or treating symptoms with drugs address subjects such as metabolic disorders, dietary inefficiencies, pH imbalances and acid ash deposits, free radical damage, calcium and phosphorus deficiencies, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, essential fatty acid deficiencies, bowel toxicity, heavy metals, pesticides and herbicide toxicity, chemical and plastics toxicity, lymphatic drainage problems, the inefficiency of your cells’ sodium/potassium pumps, phase degenerative of otherwise healthy tissues and organs, sources of inflammatory activity and nutritional considerations combined with amino-acid and enzyme activity?
Hummm! It’s a bit of a mouth full isn’t it?
Central to good health and wellness is coming to the realisation that the traditional medical system as we know it today, doesn’t necessarily have a vested interest in prevention of pain, disease and ill health, nor does it necessarily have a vested interest in the curing of diseases. The traditional medical system’s primary focus is on profits and if they can treat symptoms rather than causes, profits continue to roll in. As Phillip Day argues in his book, Cancer: Why We’re Still Dying to Know the Truth, “the lies, duplicity and shame practiced within the highly profitable medical and chemical industries… are proving more indestructible than disease itself.”
